  • 2025 Boy’s Soccer Final

I spent last Saturday at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs photographing the 2025 CHSAA Boy’s Soccer Finals. It was a lot of fun as usual although a very long day with 4 matches.. Congrats to Crested (2A), Kent Denver (3A), Mullen (4A), and Regis (5A) on taking home the state crowns. The best match of the day was Crested Butte -Forge Christian as no goals were scored in regulation or overtime despite several chances. Crested Butte came back from a 3-1 deficit in penalty kicks to prevail 4-3.

  • Boulder Legacy Boy’s Soccer 2021

Legacy defeated highly ranked Boulder 2-1 Thursday afternoon in boy’s soccer. The game was close throughout and Boulder appeared to have tied the game with 1:21 left but the goal was waived off after it was determined Boulder was offsides on the play. I’m sure both teams will go deep into the playoffs in a few weeks.

  • 4A High School Boy’s Soccer

Due to the recent snow, I had a chance to cover a double header of 4A boy’s soccer at Erie High School yesterday.  Erie hosted Roosevelt and Niwot moved its home match against Silver Creek.  As playoff time nears, emotions were high and the play was very competitive.  Erie defeated Rosevelt 3-0 and Niwot defeated Silver Creek 2-1 in OT.
